Abstract

[Pd2B36H40(PMe2Ph)4], from the solvent-free thermolysis of [(PMe2Ph)2PdB8H12] with B10H14, has a unique dimeric structure in which two novel {PdB18H20(PMe2Ph)2} nineteen-vertex arachno-palladadecaborano-〈PdB〉-nido-palladaundecaborane units are held together by reciprocal hydrogen-to-metal linkages.
