Abstract

Hydrogen evolution from aqueous solutions on the p-indium phosphide photocathodes was studied. The efficiency of this process is affected by the crystallographic orientation of the photocathode surface. The influence of platinum metal additives in the electrolyte on water photolysis is discussed.

Keywords: p-Indium phosphide; Photocathodes; Photolysis.
