Abstract

The solubility diagram was studied at 25 °C for the Na2SeO3-H2SeO3-H2O system. On the basis of the solubility study, the conditions for the preparation of the hydrogenselenites, NaHSeO3, NaH3(SeO3)2 and NaH7(SeO3)4, were refined. For the compound, NaH7(SeO3)4, the infrared spectrum was measured, the crystal data were determined and a mechanism of thermal decomposition was proposed on the basis of the results of the study of the thermoanalytical properties of the compound.
