Abstract

(20S)-2α,3α-Dihydroxy-6-oxo-7-oxa-7a-homo-5α-pregnane-20-carboxylic acid (12) as a brassinosteroid ligand for affinity chromatography carriers was synthesized from bisnorcholenic acid. The brassinolide activity in the bean second internode bioassay of the synthesized (20S)-5α-pregnane-20-carboxylic acid derivatives is also described.
