Abstract
2-(Fluoromethyl)- and 2-(difluoromethyl)imidazoles, and 4-(fluoromethyl)- and 4-(difluoromethyl)imidazoles have been prepared by deoxyfluorination of (hydroxymethyl)imidazole or formylimidazole precursors.
