Linear Chaining of Etienic Acid Derivatives with the Amide Bond. Synthesis of Oligomeric Steroids

Abstract

Synthesis of linear molecules containing two to four steroid units connected with the amide bonds was developed. As a repeating unit, 3β-hydroxyandrost-5-ene-17β-carboxylic acid (etienic acid) was used. An active ester of this acid with N-hydroxysuccinimide and its 3-azido analogue were prepared and methods for the preparation of higher oligomers were studied.
