Abstract

The solubilities of tetraalkylammonium diaminetetraisothiocyanatochromates(III) in water and water-methanol solutions were measured at 25 °C as function of ionic strength. The results have been used to evaluate the activity coefficients of the saturating salts. For tetra-1-butylammonium salt the Gibbs free energy of transfer has been determined, and with the use of known ionic transfer function of tetrabutylammonium ion, based on TATB assumption, the Gibbs free energy of transfer of Reineckate anion has been obtained.
