Abstract

Mechanism of alkaline solvolysis of phenyl diaminophosphates is discussed on the basis of its selectivity, activation entropy and steric effects. All methods used show that the reaction proceeds by SN2 mechanism via an intermediate, containing a pentavalent phosphorus.
