Abstract

Methods of Calculating the difference of heat capacities of liquids and gases at constant volume are discussed. The known methods of calculation are confronted with the method proposed in this work. It starts from the relations describing the mutual dependence of the temperature derivative of internal and cohesive energies of vaporization to the difference of the heat capacities of liquids and gases at constant volume.
