Abstract
Simmons-Smith methylenation of 5α-androst-6-ene-3β,17β-diol 3-acetate 17-benzoate is described. Using the adduct as the starting material four analogues of androgens were synthetized by standard methods. The structures of products were established by spectral and chemical means.
