Abstract

2-Oxoimidazolidine-1-carbonyl-histidyl-proline amide (I) and 2-oxoimidazolidine-1-carbonyl-histidyl-phenylalanine amide (II) were synthesized by conventional chemical methods. 4,4'-Dimethoxybenzhydryl and 3,3',4,4'-tetramethoxybenzhydryl groups were used for protection of primary amide functions. Both analogues, I and II, did not exhibit the increase in thyroxine (radioimmunoassay) when applied to male rats intraperitoneally.
