Abstract

Density of the benzene-methanol-acetonitrile ternary mixture was measured by a vibrating-tube densimeter at temperatures of 25 and 40 °C. From the measured values, the excess volume of mixture was calculated. The obtained dependences of excess volume on composition were correlated by five empirical correlation functions. Two ways of expressing the binary contributions to the total excess volume of ternary mixture were examinated as well.
