On the synthesis of the compound Ge3Bi2S6

Abstract
The preparation of the recently reported compound Ge3Bi2S6 was studied. From the results of differential thermal analysis and Debye-Scherrer and microstructural analyses it follows that no compound Ge3Bi2S6 is formed in the system GeS-Bi2S3. Heterogeneous mixtures, predominantly of germanium disulfide and metallic bismuth, resulted from all syntheses.
